What kinds of dogs do all the zoners have? I have a wire-haired fox terrier named Franny who we adopted last year, and a black Labrador named Jasmine who's my guide dog.

I owned a german shepherd bitch named Petra, she was a wonderful dog, really sweet natured. She died aged nine. Now, well, I have many dogs and other animals, but they're not real, though they may look realistic.

I have a black lab. She was my guide dog til I retired her last summer. We also like german sheppards and husky mixes. We've owned both.

We have a chihuahua and 2 mutts. The Chihuahua was given to us because her owner wasn't able to take care of her anymore. She's not a miniature one, though, but she is still small and is in fact the oldest of the 3. Then in March, my cousin found a litter of puppies by themselves in a box, so she gave the others away to whoever wanted them, but kept the one with green eyes and gave her to me. I named her Penny, and from being a big fuzzy puppy, she is now a lot taller and has straight hair. And then the newest one is my brother Ralph's, and his name is Taz. He's still a small puppy but I think he'll turn out to be as big as Penny will be. *smiles* And I also have several other dogs that aren't real, but I'll tell later about those ones. *smiles* I love dogs. *smiles*

There are two rottweilers that live at our house, named Champ, and Hitler. Neither of them are mine, and I am personally not sick in the head enough to name a dog Hitler, although it's definitely humorus when we take him to the vet to get shots, or take him for a ride. Oh, and the dogs don't get along with each other, either, so they have to remain separated at all times, or somebody's gonna get hurt. Neither of them are violent on their own though!

I have 2 German Shephards. Misty, who's now 10 years old, and Tytan, who's not even a year yet. Misty isn't a guide dog, but she is very protective of me at night :)

Post 9 by Jesse (Hmm!) on Thursday, 09-Dec-2004 11:25:33

Protective is always a good thing, especially at night! If I'm here alone, and there's not a dog in the house, it's freaky!

Why have 2 rotties who don't get on! That's asking for huge vet bills, and someone who names a dog Hitler obviously needs help.

We weren't supposed to even have the hit man...His master moved to Georgia, and couldn't take him, and that happened to be the son-in-law of my pastor, whom I live with, so we were kinda strapped with him. Mie's planning to come and get him though.

The hit man! Dear me is he friendly at all I personally love rotties and give each one the benefit of the doubt, until they prove me wrong..

Post 13 by Jesse (Hmm!) on Thursday, 09-Dec-2004 14:42:55

Yes...He's a big baby, except when Champ, or a cat is around, and unfortunately, he jumped up on me a few months back, trying to get a cat, and got my ear instead...Yeah, I had to get stitches.

Post 14 by Goblin (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Friday, 10-Dec-2004 11:10:02

ouch! Some Rotts seem to retain that split personality it a tricky situation to be in with these mutts because they react differently to fear or unease.

Post 15 by Jesse (Hmm!) on Friday, 10-Dec-2004 12:07:41

You're right. Too, he hasn't been worked with very much, because after his owner got him, his wife became pregnant, they had a child, and the dog kinda took a back seat. Rottys are stubborn, and it takes a lot of repetition to make them mind you, and know you're alpha, not them.

Hi, this is src333, and i'll tell you about the dogs we had.

Post 17 by Goblin (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Saturday, 11-Dec-2004 10:02:58

Bischon.

Ive heard that about them Labs are also stubborn and I think that's why many don't qualify as working dogs, they just wont admit their wrong...Scott knows his own mind and if he's not finished playing I've a real job convincing him otherwise.smile
............................................................
I'd try to work him for short periods so you both dont end up annoyed and frustrated...also he might just be stupid many rotts are, they have been bred purely for money and the quality of the dogs used for breeding is often quite inferior.

Aw, bichons (yes that's how you spell it) are adorable. I had one once too but we had to give him away because he liked to bite people.

I figured I would post here and get this topic back to Topics With New Posts, so that other people would see it and share. I have a Black Lab guide dog and when I was little, I had a chihuahua. I want to get another long-haired one. I also think Dachshunds are cute.
